Having just walked in after a long trip, I was more than surprised to see I’d had so many visits and comments whilst away.. But you haven’t only been busy commenting on my posts, but I see, whilst I’ve been in an area that when you ask if there’s internet connection, they ask “what’s the internet?” you’ve all been busy posting yourselves… Now I’m going to have to play catch up..
Was our trip successful? Beyond all expectations. To sit with Managers and Course Superintendents that only see the benefit of “terratry” was a great experience.
To sit with some of the top Superintendents in the country, that rave about and order the product, is just the cheery on top of the cake. For my baby that took far longer than we expected to reach maturity, I have now grown to be a proud parent, and for our company this means just so much.
I had very little time out with my camera, but spent 6 hours in my favourite place, The Kruger National Park where I did get some great captures to share with you all… so here is just one to whet your appetite…
“Hello” the Bulldog is back….
Okay I lied three to whet your appetite..
I always love seeing your Creature Portraits. Not only outstanding photography but you also catch a glimpse of their personalities as well. Yes, I’m sure they love posing for you. I’m happy for your current accomplishments and success too. Bravo!
Thank you .. much appreciated…
Awesome news and welcome back! (lovely pics, btw!)
Thanks … yes back out on the road again… brilliant…
I am so glad that you are doing so well with your computer package, Rob. The pics are wonderful. Please name the birds for ignorant me! Thanks so much for sharing.
The blue one is a roller and the head of a guineafowl.. thank you
All the best and I hope this results in some firm and lucrative contracts coming your way.
Thank you.. it was a good trip … specially with the top course in the land now using terratry…
Fantastic! Looking forward to the other posts. And since I’m seeing this a bit late, I’m sure there are treats for me as soon as I check the next posts. 🙂
I’m sure there are… thank you…
Wonderful news about your success! YIPPEE!
Now tell me, was this photo series a study in “Large, medium, small?” 😉
Certainly looks that way… not intentional, but I’m so good I do things without thinking.. lolol
🙂
I like your photo of the elephant strolling across the road in its natural habitat, and it’s great to see them this way. However, last week my wife as part of her job was accompanying less fortunate families on a subsidized trip to London Zoo. Clearly, without zoos, these families would never have had this experience. They were amazed by what they saw, and loved every minute of it.
I do agree with you Brian, for education and enjoyment it is an necessary evil that I do not like, but have to accept for those less fortunate… I’m glad the Kids enjoyed… I wish I could fly them all out here and show them the animals in the wild…
Those are lovely pics, like the elephant on the top. 🙂
Thanks so much…
Back and amazing as ever. Looks like you a great time. Kruger Park is full of awesome animals. The elephant pic, just exciting!
Thank you so much
Welcome back dear Rob, what a beautiful photographs… especially the elephant’s one fascinated me. I don’t see them in here 🙂 Thank you, love, nia
Thanks Nia…
Congratulations on your excellent business trip! It must be very exciting to begin to reap the rewards of your months and months of hard work! Good for you! And I’m sure it feels really good to be back in touch with your camera and the animals you both love and respect! It’s good to have you back. 🙂
Thank you … it is a great encouragement for the future… loving it…
Hello you proud papa you! I am so happy for you I can’t tell ya. But you’ve earned it Bulldog. All those man hours put in day after day, month after month, almost at the expense of your health, I recall. I’m not surprised with your latest results however, and am very pleased for you. Well done Rob, just well done!!!!! 🙂
Thanks Penny… it is a great encouragement for the future… we take off in another direction Friday, and this last trip has given me a big boost…
Welcome back! I have to say (again!) that your photographs truly make me feel like I’m looking at National Geographic! I love your “eye” for taking breathtaking shots! Gorgeous! 🙂 ~
Thank you Christina… such a lovely comment …
Stunning photos, as always! I adore elephants.
Thank you August
I’ll drink to that, Bulldog 🙂 Glad you’re back 🙂
Thank you… had a few ourselves…
I’m thrilled! Good for you BD 😉 now our appetite is ready for more!!
Thanks a lot… more to come
Welcome back! So glad all went well. 😀
Thanks so much Jackie…
What is the bird in the middle photo? Some kind of weird turkey??
Great shot, whatever it is. 🙂
Bill… it is the head of a Guineafowl…
Welcome back!
I’m glad it went well.
Thanks Louisa
Hi, Rob. This post did not show up on my Reader! Something is frightfully wrong with that damn thing! I saw this in my FB feed. I love the little bird and of course the elephant is magnificent. And a really grand portrait of him too. If I miss your next post, would you please let me know. I hope I can fix the blog settings so everybody shows up… What was the Terratry trip? I must have missed that too!
Hi George… this also happens to me quite often… I go to reader and on the right I use the edit button where all those I follow are listed… from there one can set how you receive notices and how often… for some unknown reason every now and then mine resets a person I follow to no notifications… don’t, ask me why it happens, but it does… I went on a trip to an area not yet visited to launch our new software… it went better than we ever expected…
It must be wonderful to go to kruger……a dream? Someday? Wonderful shots and wonderful news! What a great experience meeting with all of those people…Congratulations on your success 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
Thanks Suzanne… we never expected the reaction we got but to sign up the number one course in the country was a great achievement…
OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THAT’S FANTASTIC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Welcome back, and great welcome back photos. Congratulations on your business success.
Thanks Alex
glad your back and lovely photos
Thanks Doris…
Glad you are back and it sounds like everything went wonderful! Very, Very Happy for you Bulldog! I hope you are celebrating your success!
We are celebrating, but working hard as well as the one course our top course in the country wants a few extra reporting so we are working on those now to get it out ASAP….
Well, keep that midnight oil burning – I’m sure it’s exciting!
yey – welcome back! Glad to hear the trip was a success – now get writing and photographing! LOL
Thank you… hope the software does so good that I can come to NZ to market the product there… will expect a few walk abouts whilst there…
It is so good to have you back! You were missed. I am so happy that your business is going so well. You truly deserve it! Thanks again for leaving us something each day so we did not go through withdrawals. ((Oh, love the second photo–hysterical)) 😀
Thanks Skye… off again next Friday but at least where I’m going this time I will have better internet connections….
Yay! Glad you’re back and that the trip was SUCCESSFUL! 🙂
Thanks Mrs. P. never had so many people rooting for us as we do have…
Welcome back and if these photos are any indication of what’s to come, I can’t wait. Ah, to have an elephant cross the road in front of ya…..very cool 🙂 I’m glad to hear you had a successful business trip. I know personally how rewarding it is to start a business and watch it flourish. It’s the NEXT best thing to watching your children turn into wonderful adults….nothing tops the kiddos!
Thanks Ingrid… we only had 6 hrs. in the park but it was worth every minute and we were lucky to get some great captures… this is our 6th business we have opened, but by far the most difficult to get going … entering into a market where financial restrictions are in place and to convince them to spend money to save money is not easy… but we signed the top Course in the country as well as the top Superintendent,… that is a major success as plenty shall follow their lead… my other businesses we could sell up and leave with little regret.. this one is like a child, developed in my head over many years and unique in the world… she will always remain mine till I pass then the Kids will have to continue to look after her…
Welcome back bulldog and glad everything went according to plan and so well. You must be so proud. 😀
Great shots as usual and great to see you again. We missed you. 😀 *hugs*
Thanks Sonel… such kind words… thank you…
You are very welcome my friend. 😀 *hugs*

WELCOME BACK, bulldog! I’m delighted to hear that your baby has been so warmly embraced by so many! Outstanding! Congratulations! Great photos, too.
Russ
Thank you Russ… it has been a long haul but at last we are beginning to see movement that should at some stage escalate…
Glad your trip was a success and that you’re safely back. We missed you.
Thanks Anneli… I’ve missed you all too, and hopefully will, with time, can play a bit of catch up… off again next Friday, but there is at least good internet in the area…
lovely photos – & glad eveyrthing went so wonderfully 🙂
Thanks Keira…
🙂
Welcome back, you were missed. Love todays photos…
Thanks Charlie… kind of you to say…
Glad you are safely back and that the presentations went so well. Just the game break would have made it worth it, so ’twill seem!
Oh yes that road down to Malalane is a nightmare so the 6 hours back through the park was a bargain…
I’m so happy for you that your baby is doing so well! I love that picture of the elephant – they are so beautiful!
Thanks Diana… wished we had more time to spend with them … but a passing glimpse is worth a bottle of pills…
Welcome back and glad it was everything you wanted!!!
Thanks Cee… kind of you…
We missed you my friend :), but I am sooo happy that things are going well with your “baby”. It is wonderful news! And these photos are spectacular – can’t wait to see more.
Thanks so much.. a well worth trip… plenty of photos to come…
My favourite place in the whole world too. This is the first year in many that I am not paying a visit but my July 2014 trip is booked! Great shots, Bulldog. Always love reading your blog even if I don’t comment.
Thanks puppy1952… even 6 hours there is a holiday… the road from Nelspruit down to Malelane where I met with the bigwigs from Leopard Creek is a nightmare and there was only one other road home…. through the park… so a holiday was taken…
I like the way you think
Wonderful to have you back, Bulldog …. even if you were never gone *smile
Of course glad you had a chance to get the camera out … and share it with us. That little bird … dressed in the rainbow … just amazing. Elephant shot – excellent … and that colorful head of a turkey ?????? – great choice.
Can’t wait for the rest.
Now maybe you have given me a good idea… our guinea-fowl should become the African Turkey…
Thanks for the look in.. got my work cut out to catch up…
I don’t have a clue … what a African Guinea fowl looks like .. it doesn’t like ours *laughing … I think it looks like a scary turkey, even when a colorful head.
I’m sure he doesn’t mind … Take your time.
