  1. The wildlife in your country is stunning and that’s putting it mildly. I don’t want to bitch but our animals are nothing like yours, mostly black brown with a little white. The colors in these animals is simply unimaginable. Great shots!

  2. How fortunate you are to live in an area with such variety of wildlife. Thanks so much for sharing your world with us Bulldog. Your photography is fabulous. πŸ™‚

      • I’m keeping my fingers crossed for some good weather for you and Linda, and I must admit I am being a bit selfish here, because I know good weather means great photos for our viewing pleasure. πŸ™‚

        • Thanks LuAnn, it actually great to see all the rain it is not something that happens often… however photos are at present not something that is going to happen. I’ve always had a slight double vision in my one eye, the cause of which I’ve never found out till the other day. It is a swelling behind the eye that displaces the landing area of the incoming light… we this has now spread to the other eye so I have double vision in both eyes. I was also told I had cataracts that need removing.. I cannot focus through the view finder so photos are now impossible, in fact my sight is bad at the moment and being 600 Km away from the eye specialist, I see not one photo being taken on this trip, very frustrating…
Looking into the view finder I struggle to even see the birds let alone focus on them… such is life…

          • I am sorry to hear that you are having difficulties with your vision and hope that this can be easily rectified when you return Bulldog. My hubby had cataracts removed from both eyes a few years ago. I hope there is something that can be done to alleviate the double vision. Although we will not be able to see your beautiful photography, I hope you and Linda are enjoying your trip.

  3. These are absolutely brilliant photographs my friend. I don’t know if it is my imagination playing tricks but I seem to notice a quizzical expression in each of the creatures! How did you mange that? Or is it that they found you askance?

    • Hi Shakti, thank you for the visit and comment.. I have lived my whole life with animals as neighbours and most of them will reward you with that special look.. one just needs to capture it… I take a lot of photos and end up with one or two that I feel have something to say in the expressions and it is these that I share… call it being in the right place at the right time… askance could possibly be the reason, a face with a camera stuck to it must look rather odd to them. But I like to think they strike these special poses for me and me only… (wishful thinking)…

  4. You got me jumping once more from excitement and wonder. You are truly blessed to be so close to these amazing creatures. Regards to your wonderful family . Thanks for today’s great adventure!

    • Thanks Skye… not sure the coffee table book will ever happen… found out the costs .. one needs a backer with big bucks to do this type book, so gonna concentrate on the semi autobiography which I’m busy with now… although hitting the wall with this more times than I want to…
