Just a few more photos.. A knights tail.? I’m talking about the horse on this occasion, although the other is certainly not bad.. I just wonder how much work goes into preparing such a tail ?? The horses I mean…
And the hair work on the mane… all that fancy plaiting or braiding… must take hours…
Hell even the feet probably have to be combed and prepared…
But when all is said and done… don’t we just look so pretty and regal…. “I even shine” he says
I wish the weather had of been better… I would have loved to have got more photos of this horse during his performance in the dressage ring… there the pride and blood line came to the fore… pure poetry in motion…
Oh yes, it takes hours to prepare a horse like this 🙂
Thanks I thought so…
Beautiful photos Bulldog and your commentary made me chuckle. 🙂
Thanks LuAnn
This is why I have short hair… 😉
This is why I have no hair…
Can’t top that…except with a hair piece!
What a tale you spin! Beautiful ♥
Thank you… love the pun…
I love those hairy hooves too. 🙂
Aren’t they beautiful or unusual…
They certainly are. 🙂
What a gorgeous horse.
Thanks Maralee
What an art it is to be able to plait the horse’s mane! This beautiful black horse has a magnificent tail and is just altogether gorgeous. 🙂
Thanks Sylvia… I’m sure the horse probably enjoys all the attention whilst preparing it to look good…
I absolutely adore watching dressage at horse shows and I love your capture of this magnificent horse. Loving your ‘knight’s tail’ Bulldog… 😉
Me too… the horses are just so damn good…
A very stately steed.
Correct and thanks Frank…
Gorgeous bulldog. I love Freisian’s. They hold their heads so beautifully ~ majestic, proud and those wonderful feathered legs 🙂
So right… I was enamoured by this animal… its power, stature, and general pride just grabbed me and drew me in…
Haha! I love what you did with the title :). He is definitely a stunning picture of animal power, and I really must show these photos to my sister-in-law. She will love them because she trains horses and rides dressage. Great captures Bulldog!
Thank you…sister in law must have a good tail as well… sorry I mean her horses tail…
LMAO!! Bad Bulldog :).
Beautiful pictures. I can’t even make Smelly Dog look that good. I prefer to see horses in photos than in the flesh – we have a hate-hate relationship. They started first.
That’s bad news… all animals love me, must be something to do with my nickname…
Black Beauty as in the Railway Children many years ago springs to mind.
That it does…
You said to so well Rob. ‘Pure poetry in motion’ indeed and yes, that must take hours to prepare a beauty like that, but it sure is worth it in the end. I think the horses also love being ‘pampered’ like that as well, or what do you think?
Great shots once again my friend. 😀
I think like any pet that is loved they will enjoy the pampering over them…. I watched one working on the tail of another horse… my thought being if the horse kicks boy you’re going to feel it… it never even twitched it’s tail and that can only mean it was enjoying the combing….
I totally agree Rob. 😀
Amazing photos, Bulldog. I cannot wait to show my daughter. She adores horses. Thanks for sharing them with us! I hope you are doing well!!
Doing fine thanks Skye… I’m sure the kids would have loved this horse, it was hardly ever alone… what a pack of followers it had…
Sjoe – die swart perd het ook van die begin af vir my uitgestaan. So blink, regop en trots.
Their show of strength – yes that is it Bulldog – you’ve hit the nail on the head. I’ve only just noticed their “feet” though – love the tuffs of hair down there too.
Thanks Jan… those tuffs must be difficult to keep clean and tidy…
They look pretty powerful.
That they do… thanks Anneli
Bulldog, I love these horses-I’ve photos of several for my computer screen.
So glad you could see them up close and personal! They are so very majestic looking.
I have always loved buffalo, too and 2 summers ago my daughter took me to see some. It was the first time I had seen any besides in pictures. And, Bulldog, I got to feed 1, too. I was so happy and excited I couldn’t quit crying, LOL! But it was such a wonderful dream (that I didn’t even know I had!) come true.
Thanks so much for sharing all your pictures with us-they are truly a blessing. They are great for those of us who may never see these beautiful animals in real life.
God’s Blessings to you, my friend!
Thank you so much for such nice kind words… it is always a pleasure for me to share what I get to see… I often forget what a privilege God has bestowed on me… thank you again…
You are very welcome! I do so enjoy your photos!
Ohy God! What an incredible animal!
Thanks Cindy… the horse you mean?? lol… yes I just couldn’t get enough of this animal… I love all animals that show strength and are proud of it, probably why I love our Buffalo so much, their strength and tenacity just shows in all their stances and looks… I felt the same with this horse, he just seemed to say “stand back, I’m Royalty”…
