What you see is what you get……. birds, animals, and all sorts of things, but remember; Work for a cause, not for applause. Live life to express, not to impress. Don't strive to make your presence noticed, just make your absence felt. .
This little guy seemed to have bitten off more than he could chew… the beetle got stuck between his top teeth … he struggled for a while but soon dislodged it… it then went one way —- down the hatch….
Guess the Heimlich Maneuver would be useless in this case…if he would let you bear-hug him from behind in the first place… 😉 And I don’t think they make large enough toothpicks. Wait, they are called spears! But you have to be gentle, not a skill most people wielding spears are known for.
Fantastic shots, Rob! wow. This sometimes happens to my dogs when I walk them through the cane fields – they chew on some cane and it gets lodged in the roof of their mouth. I have to get my hand in there and pull it out. I’m so glad this little guy managed to get it out on his own! 😀
How very cool bulldog. Great capture. You must have been shooting one frame after the other to catch this action. Meerkat are such cute comical looking animals. I always loved seeing them in the bush 😉 Have a super weekend.
Wow. How clever you are to catch that image of the beetle. You must have very quick reflexes and eyesight to catch that last photo, but I suppose out of 598, you’re bound to catch some unexpected action. Well done. (I’m impressed as I’m often too slow to photograph this sort of thing).

A difficult moment for both, but no way out for the beetle!
ther beetle has no chance.. it can’t dig as fast as this little guy
Wonder if the beetle was biting him in the process. Great series on this animal behavior!!!!!
MOL..when it’s fish, I can help him 😀 Pawkisses 🙂 ❤
I hear the delight in your words over what you are able to capture with your new camera…quite amazing. 🙂
Great captures. Poor chap. I hope he got the beetle down eventually. 🙂
Haha, shame man…not sure if I’m sorrier for him or the beetle!
Well don’t wait for one that is to be posted of a frog becoming a meal…
This little guy indeed needs a dentist. Your captures are mesmerizing! These are astounding shots! WOW!!
Thank you… most kind comment

Thanks Joey.. continual frames at 3 per second, makes such captures possible… have a good photography weekend
Rob, I can’t believe you actually caught that! It reminded me of how I feel when I eat raspberries or corn on the cob.
Thanks Naomi.. the new camera makes many things possible…

With continual shooting at 3 frames per second, many things are possible…. of course many shots show very little. …
Brilliant! Made me LOL!
Thanks Carol
Poverinoooo, chissà che fastidio gli dava averlo così incastrato.
Scatti super splendidi Bulldog, fantastici, unici!!
Ciao, Pat
Thanks Pat
Wow! These are some unique shots!
Thanks Teri
This is just a hint of the situations animals can get themselves into. They don’t always end as well. Lucky spot for you. Glad it ended well.
Thanks Anneli.. with those long claws it finally dislodged the beetle
Love this set of photos. I wonder what you little friend would do with peanut butter?
Now that is something I’d love to see
Poor little guy – glad he got it out bulldog! ❤
Diana xo
With those long claws it had to dislodge it… thanks Diana
Wow, I’ve never seen this before…really great shot!
Thanks Valerie
LOL! I’m glad he managed to get it out.
He used those long claws and it was out…
Yikes.
I nearly choked for its part
brilliantly captured Bulldog. Happens to our dogs sometimes and is very very funny to watch.
It is funny to watch… thanks Jan
Wonder if the beetle tickled with wiggles as a desperate defensive move.
I pictured it legs splayed and holding on for deal ife
Oh – how embarrassing! … and to add to the awkward moment, it was captured by the paparazzi!!
So right … thanks zjoanne
That was my exact expression the one and only time I had caviar!
I think my reaction would be the same…
Oh these are just some fun photos. 🙂
Thank you Cee
