What you see is what you get……. birds, animals, and all sorts of things, but remember; Work for a cause, not for applause. Live life to express, not to impress. Don't strive to make your presence noticed, just make your absence felt. .
What a little cute and colorful bird … never seen an orange bird before, expect parrots. Stunning colors, black and orange. Like a flying flower. Wonderful gallery, Rob.
What an interesting looking bird. I don’t think I’ve seen one quite like it. So interesting with the bright orange head & black face – almost looks like he was wearing a mask.
Bulldog you have patience to sit out and snap. Love that bird and you captured it so well.

Thanks Viveka… a colourful bird that looses a lot of that colour out of breeding season…
They are such pretty little birds. Great shots Bulldog 🙂
Thanks Michelle
Nosey (or beaky) little guy! 😉
Isn’t he just…
He is happy and so are we that you shared this little fella with us. Thanks Bulldog. 🙂
Thank you LuAnn…
He really does check it out from all angles.
That’s for sure…
Fantastic colours! What a beautiful little bird 😀
Thanks Dianne
What a beauty…love the colouring of this sweet little fellow 🙂
I find these small birds so difficult to capture well as they rarely keep still for very long.
Some bishops can be cute :D. This one is adorable. Thank you for showing me this species, Rob.
Nice series. (Suzanne)
What a beautiful sweetheart!
E’ dolcissimo e bellissimo questo piccolo uccellino che ci mostri con una serie fantastica di foto!!!
Ciao, Pat
What a beautiful little bird!
Thank you Suzanne…
Is he a very tiny bird? The seeds he’s after almost look like grasses. Am I seeing this correctly?
You are seeing it correctly, a small bird that is eating grass seed… a small bird, four odd inches from tip of tail to top of head…
Nice!

That he does and probably would have something like that in his name, except we already have the masked weavers..
I love orange. It’s bold. What a pretty bird!
Diana xo
Thanks Diana…
Looks a bit like an oriole. Very pretty colours!
A lot smaller than an oriele, and his colours are only so during mating season, otherwise quite unassuming in colour…
Beautiful bird! Glad he is happy now. 🙂
Thanks Elaine…
Who’s a pretty boy then? And the bird.
I’m the pretty boy… the bird as well…
Such a sweetie! 🙂 Thank you, Bulldog!
Thanks Skye…
